Hood (vehicle)

The bonnet is the outer covering of an engine.

The term hood is primarily in the area of car use. General so that the component to open is referred to at the front of a vehicle body, under which the motor is located.

On some vehicles, the term is sometimes used incorrectly hood because it implies that the bonnet is to find the front of a vehicle. For example, when 911 sometimes referred to as the front trunk lid hood, although this vehicle has a rear-mounted engine, and thus the hood is mounted in the rear portion of the body.
