Hori II (Vizier)

Hori ( Hori also I; † before 1176 BC ) was an Egyptian vizier of the 19th and 20th Dynasties.

He was the son of the High Priest of Memphis Hori and grandson of Prince Ramses II Khaemwaset.

Hori initially served as vizier under Seti II in Memphis until he was transferred from Siptah to Thebes. There he managed the mortuary temple of the king. He also directed construction work in the Theban necropolis and quarrying at Gebel el- Ahmar and at Aswan. Hori's tenure was relatively long. He survived the end of Queen Tausert and was still under Sethnacht and Ramses III. in office. He probably before the 12th year of the reign of Ramses III. have died, because at that time already vizier Ta is occupied.
