Horst-Tanu Margraf

Horst- Tanu Margraf (* October 26, 1903, † April 3, 1978 ) was a German conductor of the German Democratic Republic and since 1950 the General Music Director of the State Theatre in Halle ( Saale).

Margraf was in World War II music director in Lemberg, and in 1952 one of the founders of the Handel Festival in Halle, where he conducted numerous as head of the Staatskapelle Halle Handel operas in her first production since the 1920s.

In 1969 he ended his active career.
