Sas name is assigned at Saqqara by stone vessel labels of black ink from the Ostgalerien the Western Massif of Djoser pyramid. The name "Sa " appears together with inscriptions, in which the "Ka - House Sa " is mentioned. In addition, the name of the senior officials Inichnum appears. In Egyptology the assignment of such a Horus name is controversial because it does not yet appear within a Serechs, which would show him to be definitive Horus name. Jürgen von Beckerath, Dietrich Wildungsmauer and Peter Kaplony see in the name of Sa a short form of currently are not associated Horus name of the king Sanacht. Wolfgang Helck rejects this argument on the grounds that the ink inscriptions have been dated from the Ostmagazinen predominantly in the reign of King Ninetjer or shortly thereafter, but Sanacht reigned in the 3rd dynasty. He has Sa belong to the class name of the Weneg.
