Hossein Noori Hamedani

Hossein Noori Hussain Nuri Hamedani or Hamadani (Persian حسين نورى همدانى; * 1925 (1304 according to the Iranian calendar) in Hamadan ) is a Grand Ayatollah, who is counted among the religious-political hardliners of the Shia scholars in Iran. He was one of the supporters of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who in turn can be regarded as his followers in the religious field.

Origin

Hossein Noori Hamedani was born in 1926 as the son of Hodschatoleslam Ibrahim Noori Hamedani in Hamadan.

Fatwas and Views

In a recent, undated legal opinion ( fatwa No. 2959 ) Hamedani answers the question, until which time the fatwa of a deceased lawyer must continue to be followed. Hamedani comes to the conclusion that it was not lawful to follow the fatwa of a deceased jurist on.
