House of Blues
House of Blues is an American company that operates a number of music venues in the United States. The company of Isaac Tigrett, co-founder of Hard Rock Cafe, and the actor and musician Dan Aykroyd was founded. Characterized by the venues are daily live music in conjunction with the American South inspired cuisine.
History
The first House of Blues opened in 1992 in Harvard Square District of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Besides Trigett and Aykroyd include Aerosmith, Paul Shaffer, River Phoenix, James Belushi and Harvard University to the donors. The first House of Blues but has since closed. Dan Aykroyd and James Belushi stayed away from the House of Blues closely connected, so they often opened new venues.
On 5 July 2006 was acquired by Live Nation House of Blues, one in Beverly Hills, California -based concert promoter. Currently, 13 locations will be under the brand " House of Blues ".
