Houston Dynamo

Houston Dynamo is an American football franchise of the Major League Soccer ( MLS) from Houston (Texas ).

Dynamo was the end of 2005 part of the Major League Soccer, as the team of the San Jose Earthquakes was moved to the MLS season in 2005 to Houston. The crew and staff were transferred to the new franchise from Texas.

History

The Team Houston Dynamo came into being on 15 December 2005, after the crew of the San Jose Earthquakes was moved because it was the owners not possible to realize the construction of a football stadium. All the players and the coaching staff of the Earthquakes changed to Houston. The name San Jose Earthquakes, the associated logo, and the history of MLS franchises were not copied. This was 2007, when the Earthquakes returned to the MSL, becomes active. The choice of name

On 25 January 2006 it was announced that the team will " Houston 1836 " bear the name. The name was chosen by a vote on the internet. First season 2006

The first game Houston Dynamo took place against the Colorado Rapids on April 2, 2006. Brian Ching scored four goals for this dynamo and thus became the first goalscorer in the history of the franchise. By winning the MLS Cup Houston Dynamo participated in the CONCACAF Champions ' Cup 2008 part. They reached the semi-final, subject to there but Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica. Crest and colors

Fan groups
