Hovrätt

A Hovrätt is a Court of Appeal in Sweden. Report to him the tingsrätter as input instance. In the second instance the parent of the Högsta is domstolen.

That court corresponds approximately to a German regional court (where it acts as an appellate court ) or a Court of Appeal.

There are six Hovrätter in Sweden:

• Svea hovrätt in Stockholm,
• Göta hovrätt in Jönköping,
• Hovrätt över Skåne och Blekinge in Malmo,
• Hovrätt för Västra Sverige in Gothenburg,
• Hovrätt för Nedre Norrland in Sundsvall and
• Hovrätt för Övre Norrland in Umeå.
