Howea forsteriana
The Kentia palm ( Howea ) or Kentien are a genus of the palm family ( Arecaceae ). They are native to Lord Howe Island, which also led to its designation. These single -stemmed Fiederpalmen thrive both at coastal regions of the subtropics and temperate zones. Through their modesty they are very well suited for living rooms as houseplants.
Species
The genus contains only two species Howea:
- Kentia palm, Forstersche Kentie ( Howea forsteriana )
- Belmoreanische Kentie ( Howea belmoreana )
