Howie B
Howie B ( born 1963 in Glasgow, Scotland; Complete name Howard Bernstein ) is a British DJ, musician and music producer. He is an important representative of the trip-hop.
Life
Howie B first emerged as a DJ in London's nightlife and music productions as an employee in a name before he started producing his own music in the early 1990s. In his songs he merged influences from soul, hip - hop, house, jazz and funk.
His debut Breathe In was released in 1993 as a split EP with Fat on his own label Pussyfoot Records. More releases on Mo ' Wax, Polydor and One Little Indian Records followed.
In the following years he turned increasingly to music production. He produced, among other albums and individual songs for Skylab, Björk, Tricky and U2.
In 1996 his first album Music for Babies. Their second album, Turn Off the Dark followed in 1997, also on Polydor. Since 2008 he has worked on several projects together with the Italian funk-rock band Casino Royale.
