HSC CsÃkszereda
The Hoki Sports Club Csíkszereda ( Miercurea Ciuc SC by 2010 ) is a Romanian ice hockey team from Miercurea Ciuc, which was founded in 1929 and whose members at that time exclusively belonged to the ethnic group of the Székely. The club now plays in the Romanian Hockey League. In addition, the club took between 2006 and 2008 participated in the Hungarian Borsodi Liga Jégkorong, which was replaced in 2008 by the MOL League.
History
The SC Miercurea Ciuc was founded in 1929 as Miercurea Ciuc SC and for the first time in 1949 the Romanian champions. This success was the club so far 13 times repeat, most recently in the years 2007 to 2012. Miercurea Ciuc Thus, the SC is after Steaua Bucharest ( 40 items) the second most successful Hockey Club Romania. After the end of World War II was followed by the first renaming of the association. By 1957, the team played under the name Avîntul Miercurea Ciuc IPEIL. The following three years, the team ran on as Miercurea Ciuc Recolta. After the hockey team from 1960 to 1973 Miercurea Ciuc vointa meant she wears since returned to its original name. In the years 2001 and 2003 the club for the first time succeeded in winning de la Cupa României Hochei pe Gheaţă, the Romanian Hockey Cup. A year later, in 2004, won the SC for the first and only time the championship title in the Pannonian league ice hockey championship from southern Europe to participate in the teams from the area of the historic Pannonia. After this season, the club left the league.
SC Miercurea Ciuc in 2006 was included in the Hungarian Borsodi Liga Jégkorong, on the one next to the game since then participates operation of the Romanian Hockey League. There, the team will play under the Hungarian name Csíkszereda SC. Lost to the SC in the years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 are Rumanian champion.
2010, the club changed its name to Hoki Sports Club Csíkszereda, received a new logo and added color to black as a club.
