Huaura Province

Huaura is one of nine provinces of the Lima region on the Pacific coast of Perú. It is bordered on the north by the province of Barranca and the Ancash Region, on the east by the provinces Cajatambo and Oyón and to the region Pasco, to the south by the province of Huaral, and to the west by the Pacific Ocean.

The province of Huaura size of 4892.52 km ² and consists of twelve districts:

Population

The Huaura province has a population of about 200,000 inhabitants.

Capital

The provincial capital is Huacho.
