The Group has more than 140,000 employees. The profit in 2011 amounted to 2.952 billion U.S. dollars, with sales of 32.396 billion U.S. dollars. The company focuses on the development and production of devices for communication technology. These include mobile (UMTS, GSM, GPRS, GSM -R, WiMAX ), but also xDSL, Optical networks and terminals.

The German subsidiary of Huawei Technologies Germany GmbH has its headquarters in Eschborn and with additional offices in Berlin, Munich, Bonn, Cologne, Nuremberg, Darmstadt, Langenhagen, Dresden and Bamberg. In early 2008 the European headquarters from London was moved to Dusseldorf. Overall, Huawei employs more than 1400 employees in Germany (May 2011).

The Swiss subsidiary Huawei Technologies Switzerland AG is headquartered since 2008 in Köniz, Canton of Bern, with additional offices in Dübendorf, Zurich and other Swiss agglomerations. The subsidiaries employed 450 employees (May 2013). Infoniqa SQL AG is the technology integrator for Huawei Switzerland. The company also cooperates closely with local telecommunications providers such as Sunrise Communications AG.

History

Criticism
