Hubertus Primus

Hubertus Primus ( born September 1, 1955 in Gersfeld ( Rhön) ) is a lawyer, journalist and manager. He's since January 2, 2012 the sole director of Stiftung Warentest in Berlin.

Hubertus Primus was born the son of longtime Gersfelder mayor Hans -Georg Primus. After training as a fully qualified lawyers Hubertus Primus for the right magazine for the economy, as well as a freelance journalist with a focus on legal and tax writer for the magazine industry and the Süddeutsche Zeitung worked. This was followed by a position as editor of the magazine Finanztest be its editor he became in 1993. From 1999 to the end of 2011 Primus as the successor of Hans -Dieter Beck solving editor of the journal was tested as well as head of publications Stiftung Warentest Member of the Executive Board. From 2012 he succeeded Werner Brinkmann as sole director of the Stiftung Warentest. The editorship was taken over by his successor Anita Stocker.

Other activities

Hubertus Primus was until the end of 2011 a member of the jury of the Helmut Schmidt Prize for Journalism and was in 2012 by the chief editor of the periodical financial test, Hermann- Josef Tenhagen, detached.

Since 2012 he represented Germany in the administrative board of the international consumer organization International Consumer Research & Testing in London.

On November 14, 2012 Primus was elected to the Board of Directors of the Federation of German Consumer Association.

Hubertus Primus is a board member of the German Foundation for Consumer Protection.

He is also chairman of the jury of the contest " Youth tests " Stiftung Warentest.

Private

He is married to a Gersfelderin and has four children. He is active on the Board of the association Zehlendorfer wasps for the marketing and public relations.
