Hugh Grant (business executive)

Hugh Grant ( born March 23, 1958 in Larkhall, Scotland ) is a Scottish manager. He is currently chief executive officer of Monsanto.

Life

Grant reached the Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural science in zoology at the University of Glasgow, a degree in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from the International Management Centre in Buckingham, England. He worked from 1981 to 1991 in Scotland for the U.S. company Monsanto and was then " global strategy director " of the agricultural sector in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1995 he was Responsible for the Asia -Pacific and 1998 Mitpräsident the agricultural sector.

In March 2009, Grant was voted one of the 30 most respected CEOs to " Barron's annual list". He was named 2010 CEO of the Year by the Chief Executive magazine.

2009 Grant earned about 10.8 million U.S. dollars (at that annual average rate equivalent to around 7.7 million euros ), of which the major part in shares and share options.
