Hugh II, Count of Blois

Hugh II of Châtillon (franz: Hugues II de Châtillon; * April 9, 1258, † 1307 ) was a Count of Blois and Dunois and Lord of Guise out of the house Châtillon. He was a son of Count Guido II of Saint-Pol († 1289 ) and Matilda of Brabant.

Although he was the oldest son of his father, he followed him not in the county of Saint-Pol after, as he was already considered as a legacy of his widowed in 1284 cousin Johanna on the counties of Blois and Dunois. Furthermore, he was to receive from her the reigns Avesnes, Trélon and Guise. Jane died in 1292 and Hugo could take their heritage. He was a pillar of the monarchy and fought in 1302 in the Battle of the Spurs against the Flemings.

Hugo was married since 1287 to Beatrice of Flanders, daughter of Count Guy I of Flanders from the house of Dampierre. Your Erbsohn was Guido of Châtillon († 1342 ).
