Hugo Zuckermann

Hugo Zuckermann ( born May 15, 1881 in Eger, † December 23, 1914 in Eger ) was a Bohemian- Austrian lawyer, German-speaking writer and Zionist.

While studying in Vienna, he became a member of the Association of Students of Zionist Theodor Herzl in Vienna and later the Jewish Academic Libanonia connection.

Zuckermann was known by the Austrian rider song and the few poems published from the estate. In addition, he found with his commitment to Zionism attention.

Along with Oskar Rosenfeld he had founded in 1908 the Jewish stage, the first Jewish theater in Vienna, which lasted until 1938.

Hugo Zuckermann fell in the First World War.
