Human Genome Organisation

The Human Genome Organisation (HUGO ) had set itself the goal, mapped fully abiding by the human genome. The research was conducted as part of the Human Genome Project (Human Genome Project ).

In 2000, a first "complete" working version of the human genome was present. 2003 then the completion in the context of the applied standards was finally announced.

The chromosome 1 2005 /06 the last of the 23 human chromosomes was analyzed very carefully. With over 160 scientists from the UK and the U.S., the sequence data in the output 441 (p. 315) of the journal "Nature" have been published. (Frankfurter Rundschau and German Press Agency of 17 May 2006)
