Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery

The Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery of the University of Glasgow is the oldest public museum in Scotland. It is located in several buildings on the main campus of the University of the west of the city of Glasgow, Scotland.

History of the Museum

The money to build the museum and much of its original exhibits was the legacy of the Scottish anatomist William Hunter, who died in London in 1783.
