Further development

On 1 January 2010, until then independent municipality Hüttenrode together with the communities Heimburg, Cattenstedt, Wienrode and Timmenrode and the City of Their castle in the town of Blankenburg (Harz ) was incorporated.

Coat of arms and flag

The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg Kommunalheraldiker Jörg Mantzsch.
