Hypocreomycetidae
The Hypocreomycetidae are a sub- class of the Ascomycota.
Features
The fruiting bodies are usually bright perithecia, cleistothecia rare. In most representatives are missing real paraphyses. Periphysoide occur. The asci are unitunicat or pseudoprototunicat.
System
The Hypocreomycetidae are a well -supported monophyletic group, their sister group, the Sordariomycetidae. Hibbett et al. (2007) divided the subclass in the following orders:
- Coronophorales
- Crustal ball Fungal ( Hypocreales )
- Melanosporales
- Microascales
Zhang et al. presented on the following cladogram, which also contains some standing isolated taxa:
Coronophorales
Microascales (including Halosphaeriales )
Verticillium dahliae, an anamorphic
Glomerellaceae
Hypocreales
