Since the Æsir took Baldur's corpse and took them to the lake. Hringhorn called Baldur's ship, it was the largest of all ships. The gods wanted to come out from the shore and burn Baldur's corpse thereon; but the ship was not from the spot. Then was tions Jotunheim after the giantess sent, called the Hyrrockin, and when she came, she was riding a wolf, who was saddled with a snake. When she had jumped from his horse, Odin summoned four berserk to keep it; but they could not otherwise than by downed it. Since Hyrrockin went to the prow of the ship and thrust it before the first touch, that fire went out from the rollers and all the earth shook. Then Thor became angry and grabbed the hammer and would have smashed her head, if you do not all gods had requested peace.
