And tomorrow I'll cry is an American film drama from the year 1955. Screenplay based on the autobiography of the singer Lilian Roth ( 1910-1980 ), the director drew Daniel man responsible. At the Academy Awards in 1956, the film was nominated in four categories and was awarded the Academy Award for Best Costume Design.
Action
Lilian Roth is a successful Broadway singer who suffers from her domineering mother Katie. After her fiancé David unexpectedly dies, she throws herself into affairs. She marries the drinking party-goers Wallie, and turns after the divorce the shady Tony to who beats after marriage. The marital problems driving Lilian in the alcohol addiction. At a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous she learns Burt McGuire know and love, who turns out to be the right man for Lilian.

Helen Rose was honored at the Academy Awards in 1956 for "Best Costume Design (black & white ) " with the Academy Award. Also nominated were Susan Hayward as " Best Actress ", Cedric Gibbons, Malcolm Brown, Edwin B. Willis and Hugh Hunt for the "Best Production Design " and Arthur E. Arling for " Best Cinematography ( Black and White) ". Hayward won at the International Film Festival of Cannes 1956 award for " Best Actress ".
