I'm Not There (soundtrack)

I'm Not There: Original Soundtrack is a double CD, parallel to the film I'm Not There was released on 30 October 2007. The album, released on four LPs, contains 34 songs by Bob Dylan; on iTunes, there are also four bonus tracks. Only the title song I'm Not There is heard in Dylan's own version, the other pieces were re-recorded by various artists.

The song I'm Not There in 1967 recorded with The Band during the Basement Tape sessions, but not published Dylan. On the original soundtrack album is next to Dylan's original recording also includes a cover version of Sonic Youth.

For some titles, a backing band called The Million Dollar Bashers is heard. This specially assembled for the recording super-group consisted of Lee Ranaldo (guitar) and Steve Shelley (drums) of Sonic Youth, Nels Cline (guitar) by Wilco, Tom Verlaine (guitar) of Television, Dylan bassist Tony Garnier, guitarist Smokey Hormel and keyboardist John Medeski.

" Ballad of Hollis Brown" is heard in the film in a version of the Stooges, but not included on the soundtrack album. On the other hand, do not listen to all the songs on the album in the movie.
