I Get Lonely is a song by American singer Janet Jackson from her sixth album, The Velvet Rope ( 1997). The song was released in February 1998 as the third single of the album. For Jackson the song a top five hit in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for Jackson was again. An official remix version of the song published Janet with Blackstreet.

Song information

The original, written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and produced version appeared on Jackson's sixth album, The Velvet Rope. In addition to the original single Janet also released an official remix version with Blackstreet. The song was nominated at the Grammy Awards 1999 in the category " Best Female R & B Vocal Performance ", but lost to Lauryn Hills number -one hit Doo Wop ( That Thing ). In 1998, Jackson sang the song in the The Rosie O'Donnell Show, at the TMF Awards Show and Soul Train Awards show. Jackson sang the song on their worldwide The Velvet Rope Tour, in which she used the same dance choreography from the music video. Later, Jackson sang the song still on the rock Witchu Tour and 2011 on their tour Number Ones: Up Close and Personal.
