On January 1, 2013 I Got a Boy was uploaded on YouTube. With over 10 million views within 55 hours, the music video reached number 2 in the YouTube music charts; just behind Psys Gangnam style.
Reception
In the U.S., the song was recorded by critics overwhelmingly positive. According to the Los Angeles Times, Girls' Generation have " sent together " the various musical elements of the song.
