Ialoveni [ ialo'ven ] (1944-1989 Яловень Cyrillic, Russian Jaloweny / Яловены ) capital Chisinau is the capital of Rajons Ialoveni in Moldova, about ten kilometers to the south. The city was founded in 1502 and is known for its wine brand produced in Ialoveni " Ialoveni ".

In Ialoveni existed a military cemetery, which was destroyed by the Soviet authorities. Here the Romanian soldiers were buried who died in 1941 during the war against the Soviet Union.
