Ian Emes

Ian Ronald Emes ( born August 17, 1949 in Birmingham), sometimes incorrectly called as Ian Eames, is a British animator and director from Handsworth, Birmingham, was primarily known for his work with the band Pink Floyd, as his cartoons used rear projection at their shows and offerings as bonus material of their DVDs.

Life

Emes grew up the son of a policeman Ronald Emes, who was also coach of the Olympic canoe team. Ian Emes visited the Marsh Hill Boys Technical School in Erdington, Birmingham and studied in Bristol. His first French windows, he began as a student at Birmingham College of Art and finished it when he was unemployed. He laid the cartoon with One of These Days by Pink Floyd. After it was shown at the Art Gallery Ikon Gallery, it took the television program The Old Grey Whistle Test on the program and Pink Floyd discovered the video.
