Ian Piccard

Ian Piccard ( born March 11, 1968 in Les Saisies ) is a French former alpine skier. His special discipline was the giant slalom. Ian is the brother of Franck, John, Leila, Jeff and Ted who were also skier.

Career

His first points in the World Cup Skiing won Piccard on 29 November 1991, ranked 24th in the giant slalom in Breckenridge. A year later, he reached in the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora on December 20, 1992 is already the sixth. Overall, Piccard was able to place in his career in eight World Cup races among the ten fastest, the best result is a fifth-place finish in the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora on January 5, 1997. His last World Cup race, he drove on 27 February 1999, but then took until 2005 French Championships and FIS races in France part.

Piccard took in the years 1994 and 1998 participated in Olympic Games and reached the 17th in the giant slalom and the eleventh place. From 1989 to 1999 he participated in five World Cups, reaching this twelfth place in the giant slalom in 1993 and ninth in the giant slalom in 1996. 1997 and 1999, he could not finish his runs. From 1994 to 1997, he was three times French Champion.
