Ian Roberts (rugby league)

Ian Roberts ( born July 31, 1965 in London) is an Australian rugby league player and actor.

At the beginning of his athletic career playing Roberts, a South Junior, as a forward. He overcame a series of injuries and reached its full potential in the test arena. Although he had not played up to that point for a rugby league team based in New South Wales and Australia, in 1990 he received a contract from the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, in Australia.

In 1995, Roberts be coming out and appeared in various publications and media in Australia and New Zealand. 1998 ended Roberts due to his injuries, his sports career and began studying at the National Institute of Dramatic Art ( NIDA ) in Sydney. Roberts was praised for his involvement in sports and LGBT area and was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for his contribution to the international reputation of the Australian Rugby League. 1997 appeared the book Ian Roberts - Finding Out by Paul Freeman.

In early 2005 Ian Roberts appeared in the second series of the Australian edition of Dancing with the Stars, where he danced together with Natalie Lowe. He was elected to the 25 most important Australian rugby team players in 2005. 2006 Roberts appeared in the feature film Superman Returns as Riley.
