Iberg (Allgäu)

The Iberg ( not to be confused with the nearby Isenberg ball ) is about 960 m above sea level. NHN high southwest foothills of the mountain Ried Holzer ball ( 1065.6 m above sea level. NN ) in the north exit of the Allgäu Alps in the north- east of the district of Lindau ( Bodensee), administrative region of Swabia in Bavaria.

The Iberg rises in the district of Ried wood of the community Maierhöfen whose nucleus 2.3 km north-northeast of the mountain is located. 7 km north is Isny and 1 km (as the crow flies) west-northwest of Eistobel, a designated as a nature reserve gorge of the river lies Obere Argen into which the mountain north passing and flowing through Ried wood Ried Holzer stream flows. To the south of the mountain flows the Schüttentobel stream that flows west southwest of the Upper Argen. The south-western flank of the mountain is called - for that places local settlement Hoheneggstraße ( the hamlet Schüttentobel ) named - Hohenegger mountain where the ruins Hoheneggstraße is.

After Iberg who is hiking and skiing, the two Iberg ski lifts are named.
