IC Gentofte

The IC Gentofte is a Danish ice hockey club from the Gentofte Municipality. The team plays in the first division.

History

During its General Assembly on 23 April 1965, the sports club Hellerup IK decided to create its own hockey department. This first participated in the 1967/68 season on game mode the highest Danish Hockey League. In the following decades, the team played regularly in the AL -Bank Ligaen, where she was able to achieve more success. After a total of 31 years, the Department of Hellerup IK Hockey made ​​in 1996 independently for financial reasons and founded the IC Gentofte, whose first team runs as Gentofte Stars.
