Ichirō Kamoshita

Ichirō Kamoshita (Japanese鸭 下 一郎, Kamoshita Ichirō; born January 16, 1949 in Adachi, Tokyo) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP) and former Minister of the Environment.

Kamoshita studied medicine at Nihon Daigaku. He was elected to the New Japan Party into Shūgiin 1993 ( 1996: 13 constituency, Tokyo Prefecture). Under Prime Minister Tsutomu Hata Kamoshita was for a month Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Environment. After the fall of the anti - LDP coalition government, he joined with the majority of the opposition forces of the New Progressive Party, for which he was re-elected in 1996.
