Iclingas

Icel (also ICIL ) was in the late 5th or early 6th century, the first king of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia and the progenitor of the dynasty of the Iclingas.

Handed the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle that Icel was a son of Eomer and performs the ancestors on the mythical hero Offa to the deity Woden back. Cnebba is mentioned in the same source as Icels son. Icel is considered the first of his family, who came from the northern German region fishing to Britain and there established a rule.
