Icograda

The International Council of Graphic Design Associations ( Icograda ) is the world governing body for graphic design and visual communication. It was founded in London in 1963 and is headquartered in Montreal since 2005.

Icograda is an association of independent member associations from 57 countries on all five continents, which together form a global network. The merged in Icograda national associations favor a world of graphic design, visual communication, design management, design promotion and design education.

The Association had been two German President: Kurt Weidemann (1972-1974) and Helmut Langer ( 1989-1991). They were as scheduled periods of six years as Chief Executive of the International Federation.

Michael Hardt was vice president of 1995 to 1997.
