Idavere

Idavere ( German Itfer or Ittfer ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Haljala ( Haljala vald ) in the Estonian Lääne -Virumaa.
Location and description
Idavere located ten kilometers northwest of Rakvere. The village has 62 inhabitants ( 2006).
The settlement was first mentioned in 1241 under the name Honolius. The farm Onalja was called from 1499 Itterver. 1474 merged with the village and the farm together.
Good Idavere
The former manor of Idavere with its park no longer exists today. Last owner of the estate before the Estonian land reform in 1919 was the aristocratic Baltic German family Wrangel (also Wrangell ).
