If You Leave Me Now is a song of the band Chicago, which appeared on the album Chicago X 1976. The author of the piece is the former bassist and singer Peter Cetera.

After its worldwide release in August 1976, the song climbed to 23 October for two weeks number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Thus, it was the first number -one hit for Chicago at all. In the UK, the title for three weeks was able to keep at the top of the charts. The song was played by many radio stations in New York even four channels simultaneously.
