Ifremer

Ifremer ( Institut français de recherche pour l' exploitation de la mer ) is a marine research institute in France, which maintains several ships and underwater vehicles, some of which are also used by the French Navy.

These ships include the research vessel Pourquoi Pas? , Which participates with the deep-sea submarine Nautile and the deep-sea robot Victor 6000 to the search and salvage operations of Air France flight 447.

Ifremer centers

Ifremer has 26 centers. Main centers are located in Boulogne, Brest, Nantes, Toulon and Tahiti. The headquarters is located in Issy -les -Moulineaux.
