Ifugao

Ifugao is a province in the Cordillera Administrative Region, on the island of Luzon in the northern Philippines. The provincial capital is Lagawe.

Ifugao extends to 2517 km ² and is inhabited by 180 711 ( 1 August 2007) people. The province is famous for its rice terraces, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the west of the province are part of the Mount Data National Park on its territory. In the valley of the Magat Rivers, east of the province, is the Magat Dam, the hydroelectric plant has a power output of 381 megawatts.

Ifugao means in the language of the people of Ifugao "People of the Earth".
