Igor Abakoumov

Igor Abakoumov (born 30 May 1981 in Berdyansk ) is a Belgian racing cyclist with Ukrainian roots.

Career

He began his career in 2004 at the Belgian cycling team chocolate Jacques- Wincor Nixdorf. In 2005, he joined the Continental team Jartazi Granville. He celebrated his first victory at the Tour de l' Ain in 2006 with a stage victory. The 2007 season he rode in the Kazakh ProTour team Astana. In 2008, he joined the Ukrainian team ISD Danieli.
