Igor Golovkov

Igor Mikhailovich Golowkow (Russian Игорь Михайлович Головков; born 17 May 1990 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is since August 2011 at Vityaz Chekhov in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Igor Golowkow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Dynamo Moscow, for its professional team, he made his debut in the Super League in the 2007/ 08 season. He was point and impunity in six games. The 2008/09 season began the defender at the Voltigeurs de Drummondville in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL. However, after only five appearances he returned to Dynamo Moscow, for in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established he stood until end of season in nine games on the ice.

After Golowkow in the 2009/10 season aground in 34 games for Dynamo Moscow and first spent a full season in the first team, he joined the following season for SKA Saint Petersburg, but was used exclusively at HK WMF Saint Petersburg in the Wysschaja Hockey League.

Since August 2011 Golowkow stands at Vityaz Chekhov under contract.

Internationally

For Russia Golowkow participated in the Under-18 World Youth Championship in 2008, and the U20 Junior World Championship 2009 part. In both tournaments he won with his team a medal, first at the U18 World Championships silver medal and then at the U20 World Championships bronze medal.
