Igor Matovič

Igor Matović ( born May 11, 1973 in Trnava) is a Slovak businessman, politician and member of the National Council. Since the founding of the party Obyčajní Ludia a nezávislé osobnosti ( German Common people and independent personalities ), he is the Chairman.

Life

Matović 1993-1998 studied at the Management Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava and has been since 1997 a trader. Prior to entry into the Slovak political scene, he was head of the publishing house founded by him in 2002 region press, which he wrote to his wife Paulína 2007.

In the 2010 parliamentary elections, he was the 150th and last candidate in the party list of Sloboda a Solidarita ( SaS, German Freedom and Solidarity ), a member of the four-member group Obyčajní Ludia. By preference votes he finally ended in fourth place and was MP for the SaS, which became the Coalition Party.

After a vote against the coalition, he was expelled in February 2011 by the SaS. After several months as an Independent he founded in November 2011 with other members of the group Obyčajní Ludia own party party Obyčajní Ludia a nezávislé osobnosti. In the parliamentary elections in 2012, she moved as the third strongest party in parliament and Matović itself received the most preferential votes after he ran again finished last.
