IHI (Japanese IHI株式会社, Kabushiki - gaisha IHI, Eng. IHI Corporation), formerly Ishikawajima Harima Jukogyo KK ( .石 川岛 播 磨 重工业 株式会社, Eng. Ishikawajima - Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.) is a Japanese conglomerate.

IHI has a turnover of approximately EUR 8 billion and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Nikkei 225 (No. 7013 ).

History and products

The company was formed in 1853 as a shipyard under the name Ishikawajima. It soon expanded into the areas of aerospace, automotive and turbine. 1907 merged with Ishikawajima Harima shipyard, named after the historic province of Harima, and Ishikawajima Harima as traded from now on.
