Ikililou Dhoinine

Ikililou Dhoinine ( born August 14, 1962 in Djoiezi on the Comorian island of Mohéli ) is a Comorian politician and, since May 26, 2011 President Mr of the Comoros.

Life

Dhoinine grew up on the island of Mohéli. He attended primary school in his birthplace Doiezi and the island's capital Fomboni, then the Collège Rural and high school in Fomboni. After graduation in 1986, he studied for a year at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the École nationale d' Enseignement Supérieur ( Enes ) in Mvouni. A scholarship enabled him to study pharmacy at the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry in Guinea, from which he graduated in 1994 with a doctorate in pharmacy. After his return to the Comoros Dhoinine worked as a pharmacist for the Pharmacie Nationale Autonome Des Comores. As Regional Director, he headed a health project of the World Bank.

Policy

From 2006 to 2011 he was vice-president in the government of Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi, to 2008 he headed the Ministry of Health from 2009 to 2010, the Ministry of Finance and from 2010 he was responsible for infrastructure, urban planning and the environment. For the 2010 presidential election, he was the winner. Since May 26, 2011 Ikililou Dhoinine is president of the Comoros.
