Ikue Mori

Ikue Mori (Japaneseもり いくえ, Ikue Mori, born December 17, 1953 in the prefecture of Tokyo, also known as Ikue Ile) is a Japanese avant-garde musician ( percussion, electronics, composition) and graphic designer. Life and work

Mori first lived in Japan, where she studied at the Art School Takabi. In 1977, the artist for a visit to New York City, where she has lived ever since. In 1978 she founded with Arto Lindsay and Robin Crutchfield (later: Tim Wright) the No Wave band DNA, which attracted initially to Brian Eno's No New York compilation attention.
