Ilda Figueiredo

Ilda Figueiredo ( born October 30, 1948 in Troviscal ) is a Portuguese politician of the Communist Party.

Having studied economics at a university and took a special postgraduate studies in educational planning and management, Figueiredo worked as an economist in the textile trade union and the trade union federation in Porto, as well as a teacher. For the Communist Party, she belonged to the Central Committee. She belonged to the city councils of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto, as well as the city council of Gaia and the Grande Porto Region. From 1979 to 1991, she was sitting in the Assembleia da República, 1999 to 2012 in the European Parliament.
