ÃŽle-d'Arz

The Ile d'Arz is a French island and a municipality with 243 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region.

The island is located about three kilometers off the coast of Brittany near Vannes. It is about 2.5 km long and 2 km wide and is one of the two island communities in the Gulf of Morbihan.

The island has the largest sailing school in France, Les Glénans, one of their seats. It will include practical and theoretical sailing courses are offered in French.

The island has about 260 inhabitants, but gets in the high season up to 2500 visitors a day. Every year the number of visitors amounts to about 200,000 people.
