İlhan Mansız

Ilhan Mansız ( born August 10, 1975 in Kempten ) is a Turkish actor, figure skaters and former football player.

Life and sports career

Mansız grew up in Kempten and is the son of Turkish immigrants. His footballer career began as a teenager at SV Lenzfried and then moved to FC Kempten. It was followed by his transfer to FC Augsburg. Here he celebrated 1993 German football championship of the A- juniors. He now came to the first FC Cologne, but could not prevail in the 1st Bundesliga. After his departure in Cologne, he played half a year in the Bavarian League for SV Türk Gücü Munich, then to go to Turkey to Gençlerbirliği Ankara.

He was also unable to enforce and returned to Germany. Here he was now playing a second time for the amateur club SV Türk Gücü Munich, where he was again developed specifically. Then he moved for the second time in Turkey to the Turkish second division Kusadasispor. There he fell to the charge of Samsunspor, which then took him to Samsun. He then played two years of success for Samsunspor.

Only after joining Beşiktaş where he was a regular player, his career began to roll. He finished the 2001/02 season as top scorer. Mansız was appointed to the Turkish national team and played at the FIFA World Cup 2002, when he was third in the tournament with Turkey and three crucial goals scored in the final round, with his golden goal went down in history in the quarter- final against Senegal. His thereby gained popularity in Europe, Asia and particularly in Japan led him to the Japanese first division club Vissel Kobe. After a long-term injury which he incurred in June 2004, he moved to the winter break 2004/ 05 Bundesliga for Hertha BSC. Due to injury problems he could not take root, and left after the season the Berlin club here.

In July 2005, the 21- times capped player signed a one year contract with MKE Ankaragucu. The club finished second in the 2004/05 season in the Turkish Süper Lig the 13th Place. During this time he has been approached as a passer in Munich by a car, which he also drew upon a left leg injury. Thus he had to end his career for the time being because of knee problems in the summer of 2006.

2009 undertook Mansiz after several successful knee surgery a comeback attempt, he coached in the summer for several months with the team of TSV 1860 Munich and arrived there in some test games for use. However, in early October, he announced that it no longer wishes to return to active football.

Since August 2010 Mansız trained as a pair skater, together with the Slovakian Olga Bestandigova in Oberstdorf with Alexander King.

TV career

During the interruption of his sporting career Mansız began to act in TV series as an actor. Previously, he had participated in several commercials in Turkey and Japan.
