Ilia Kandelaki

Ilia Kandelaki (Georgian ილია კანდელაკი; Russian Илья Канделаки; born December 26, 1981 in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR) is a Georgian football player at the position of a defender. He currently plays for Inter Baku in the Premyer Liqasi.

Career

Kandelaki began his career at FC Tbilisi. In 2000 he moved to Dinamo Tbilisi, with which he was twice Georgian champion and twice Georgian Cup winner. In 2005 he moved to Ukraine to Chernomorets Odessa. After two years in Odessa, he went to Germany for FC Carl Zeiss Jena, where he arrived on 20 missions in the German second division. Beginning of the 2008/09 season he signed a contract with SK Sturm Graz in Austria, where he was a regular player at first. At the end of the Bundesliga season 2009/10 Kandelaki left the Grazer, and moved to Azerbaijan to İnter Baku.

In 2006, he came in four qualifying matches for Euro 2008 in the Georgian national team used. Overall, he ran nine times for Georgia.
