Ilie Bărbulescu

Ilie Bărbulescu (born 24 June 1957, Pitesti, Arges county ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach. He played a total of 357 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A, and came up with five internationals. Bărbulescu won in 1986 with Steaua Bucharest the European Champions Cup.

Career as a player

Bărbulescu began playing football in his home town of Pitesti FC Arges. In 1974, he moved at the age of 17 years in the first team and came on November 9, 1974 against FCM Resita to its first use in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A.
